SETUP:
OMG soooooooo easy! Take it out of the box, plug in the brick, turn it on, hit the connect button on the wireless keyboard AND mouse and you are “up and running”.
APPEARENCE:
I was very torn between this unit and the MSI Wind AE2200-25SUS ($899.00). I was able to go to the local Office Depot and look at a lower end model of the MSI Wind. It was the exact same model but was lacking a slew of great features the high end model was equipped with. (The 25SUS is same as this EXCEPT it had a TV tuner AND a remote control) . Everything about the MSI wind was GREAT, EXCEPT the display. There was just a dullness to it i could not change, despite playing with ever single setting in the store. Display is a dealbreaker for me, so i came back to the ASUS website and was excited to see the day i ordered it, it had gone down from $1199.00 to $1117.00 PLUS the $200.00 Rebate, making it only about 30 some-odd dollars different than the MSI, and up close & personal, this unit wins “hands down” in build quality and styling. The plastic mishapen bezel around the MSI was kind of funky, and their keyboard was AWFUL compared to this one.
SOUND: Fantastic!
TOUCHSCREEN: 100% Responsive and sooooo much fun. There is even stylus that rests neatly in the keyboard and that works wonderful if you have “fat fingers”! There is also a prompt that hides itself close to the edge of the screen but is always “ready” if you select it for an “on screen keyboard”. Very convenient.
KEYBOARD & MOUSE: Keyboard feel is so nice, in the picture it looked chintzy to me, but it is sooooooo NOT cheap! The mouse is also GREAT, clicks like butter, very soft and silent, love it!
WEI SCORE: 5.7, 5.7, 4.1,(aero) 5.7, 5.9 Overall score 4.1
RESOLUTION: 1920×1080 Beautiful crystal clear fonts, and all your icons have extreme clarity
SPEED: Seems very fast, all windows open quickly and without hesitation
OVERALL IMPRESSION: Awesome unit, the convenience of “all in one”, no wires is so nice, ASUS is a great manufacturer of computers, before a few weeks ago i had never heard of them, and now i not only have their desktop All In One but i bought a laptop ASUS Laptop with a lighted keyboad and mouse pad (soooo cool) a few weeks ago, and i know i could neverown any computer but an ASUS ever again!
I’m drawing a blank on what else ppl might want to know about this All In One, but if you have any questions about it, please feel free to leave a comment, i’m following this post so i’ll probably be able to answer u pretty quick.
Thanks,
Dumm
